Whats the sientific names on these?
There is one species I really like of the false widows, its Steotoda paykullii. They are really nice looking. But I like the real widows better. One of the more beautiful species I have kept is Latrodectus menavodi. They are one of the more beautiful widow species IMO! Although Latrodectus bishopi is probably the best looking of the widows...

When we get them together I will be giving them away, the female had about 5 fertile egg sacs, one after the other, they are loose in the spider room mopping up stray crix. Trouble is we find them in with T's too, soon oik them out of there.
Thanks for scientific name Niklas.

Did you manage to mop up the wandering widows Mary? Are they a species that is readily available? I looked but couldn't find anyone flogging them..

Hi Glen
Apparently you can't give them away let alone sell them, we have quite a few in the spider room that will have to be moved as the house is for sale, want a few if we can catch them?????

Please. That would be cool. Little beggers. I'll put leashes on em...lol.I'll PM you Mary.
On another subject but you may be able to help....
I just got 3 x Argiope bruennichi just last night. This morning, I have an egg sac from one of them. Does this mean she was already loaded or could it be a false start? I was in awe when I woke up and saw it hanging there like a little vase suspended in a web. Amazing little creatures I have to say.
Has anyone got any experience with these?

I still do work at thier National Distribution Centre at Fenny Lock, Milton Keynes, Site services found a lizard there a few weeks back, and my supervisor would'nt let me have it as it would have to go into the office or locker room, and of course, if the EHO came there would be hell to pay as I work in the canteen there.

No, we found no widows at our centre, they know me well enough there to come to me with anything they find, like the lizard., and I haven't taken any in that I know of.
