Caught this beauty running up our bedroom wall 2 days ago so decided to keep the little fella for a bit in a cricket tub, he has eaten loads since I had him including a mealworm as you can see in the picture. Looks like a Domestica to me but I am not sure. Definitely a mature male though

Hmm... looks like gigantea. Ooh.. the one I've been looking after seems to have produced an eggsac! She's slimmed down a lot and she wolfed the crick i gave her this evening! lol:wave:

Hiya. i think its a standard house spider, you can usually tell by the stripes on its abdoman & the shape of it.

But there are two species of "House Spider" Sonny:
Tegenaria domestica
Tegenaria gigantea

They are all creepy things, don't get close enough to see which ughhhh.
