First things first... Handling venomous spiders should be considered dangerous and probably fairly stupid. Neither I, nor this forum encourages and/or condones stupid people.

Doesn't work on IE6 for me, works on Firefox.

Just goes to show that most spiders aren't interested in biting humans unless we put them under threat in some way.

Don't try it at home kids :D

Seems to be an IE security setting. The ActiveX safe for scripting one. Set it to prompt, and it seems to do the trick :)

That would be another problem. Also, I had a bit of dirty code in there that should have been ignored, but I didnt know it was there until it wasnt.

Best only for low humidity situations. Infact, I'm only using it for more temp situations because I have become a big believer in misting latros. ...lots of mold problems with the buds. ;)

I just dont really like popular music in the true sense-music made to only sell records and appeal to the masses.
I like stuff thats a bit dark, a bit outre.
Having said that I also like Texas and Simple Minds-I have a very varied taste in music and really prefer the minor key,the melancholy note.

I saw a show called bug attack and it was all about venom and it showed this family in america whe had over 100000 black widows and they were milking the venom so when this guy let the spider walk onto his hand it just sunk its fangs into his hand and gave him a bite he wasnt tormenting the spider just letting it walk onto his hand like the video, not something i would be willing to do.

you should track down a copy of The Red Hourglass by Gordon Grice. Its a book on animal defences and it begns with his favourite, the black widow(Hence the books title). He tells of a guy many years ago decided to experiment with their venom to see how toxic it is, and so he gets one to bite his thumb and monitors his progress day by day. Grueseome but someone had to do it!

Once they produce sacs, their behavior changes. ;) American "black widows" (hesperus and mactans) tend to defend their sacs and web in general and will actually attack. Some of my geos will show a good strong effort also. I have one hesperus that bites immediately ...multiple bites at that and will crawl right out of her enclosure to continue the assult. I bet I could hold her though once she spent some time away from her web ...but Im not much of a betting man.
If you dont know whats going on, you shouldnt play with these in anyway. The guy you saw on the otherhand, was probably distracted by the camera and interview and chose a bad choice. But, he has been biten many times and from what I understand he has become quite immune to the venom.

Never considered bands like Depeche Mode dark in the least bit... just a thick foundation applied to the face of sythpop/newwave ..dwelling on personal drama. JMO though ...in the end the best music is whatever is turning your crank at the moment. ;)

well some of their 90s stuff is very dark, very self, which I like.
Stuff like Barrel of a Gun and In My Shoes, very powerful! Theyre nothing like that little band that started out in 1980!
