You must be mad or very brave to handle that spider, not something i could do:no: but it still has some good colour on it and a good sized eggsac well done.

Beautiful spider, and much larger than any lycosid i've seen! Maybe these will one day be in the hobby over here, True spiders breed so much faster than T's

Gigus, actually they are not much in the hobby here, people dislikes them because they are too common, are considered beginner spiders, for those who dont have a tarantula yet
the only true spider being bred here are phoneutrias I believe

Funny how the taste in inverts differs all over the world, Very nice picture, it makes the spider look like it has eyelashes!
What is it like with South American Latrodectus where you are? are peopel keeping them?

Spidergirl, at most the venom can cause 1cm of necrosis, but its very rare
Gigus, no latrodectus too... I know only two guys who keeps geometricus (I also have one) but no one is breeding

I love lycosa! I'd love a few of them big ones in my collection.. im not keen on "small" spiders.. dwarf T's and tiny lil true's etc but them lycosa i love!

Yes but it's a house spider on Steroids Becky yuk. Having said that I do have a pair of fishing spiders, very similar.

Hartleys g/f is about 3 inch l/s but I think Hartley will be bigger than that from what I have seen.

She is bit of a mad thing too, just like Simon said when he offered her to me lol
Hmm well, afer that wolf spider bit me the other week i guess I just like em stuck to the bottom of my shoe lol saying that My A.Gen liked the culprit for his dinner :biggrin:
