well I think thats what it was anyway! I was in coast to coast exotics eyeing up their Ts and I noticed a long legged true spider hanging near the tanks. It had a long slender pale coloured body and was hanging upside down-looking at I thought there's no way this thing would be able to walk!

Awwww live and let live guys! :hmm:

No squishing!

I refused to sell a T to a guy at work because in spite of his interest and long enthusiasm I caught him crushing a spider which was living on his wing mirror. Spider abuse.

Thanks Ben.

Emma, one of the flamin things has eaten a calceatum and a regalis sling that got away at feeding, they eat our native Tegenaria, they bite humans, they don't deserve to live......................oh and they get into tanks with T's..........

Yup, they ate all the Tegenaria that lived in the barn i work in, I'm hoping that they'll be few appear again this year and i can take some home. If they keep on eating our native spids as fast as i've witnessed there won't be any left in the wild.

But Pholcus phalangoides, the daddy long legs spider in question, is native to Europe, possibly britain. And come to think of it rabbits are imported from china so should we kill all those fluffy bunnies?

Bunnies are also a pest in habitat management for the conservation of native species. If this daddy longlegs is eating native spiders and it is native itself then thats one of the functions it has evolved to do they are important predators of invertebrates I love them!
