By looking on the shape of the body its no Dolomedes. Looks like some sort of Ancylometes species.

PhilR

Mary
5th-December-2006, 17:14

Yuk, dont like salmon, and trout(fresh caught) is even worse!
The only fish i like(apart from fish fingers)is tuna, sardines/pilchards(is there a difference?) kippers and the odd goldfish ;)

Do you have any pholcids (daddy long legs spiders) there Mary? If so then you may no longer have a loose calceatum sling :(

Tegenaria
26th-January-2007, 18:15
put one in with one of my Ts(cant remember who got it!) and it burrowed. Not sure if it got ate or not.

I havent seen anything of Yamaha at all since I got him, apart from different holes that magically appear and disappear, along with small crickets!
Also Curly the albops is notable by his absence, are they obligate burrowers too?

Mary
26th-January-2007, 19:44
Most lil slings burrow to a certain extent Larry, the second sac cambridgei are burrowers at the mo, some like it up on the cork others have burrowed, but see em run when you take the top off to feed em, I have laughed at them today, like lil balls of fluff rolling round the container.

Tegenaria

Pip has done something shes never donme befre-she has dug out the substrate under the eggbox hide to make it deeper inside, its like a dome over her now.
I put a big black crik in yesterday, its gone so shes still eating,no molting yet!
Come on Pip, shake your booty!

Mary
27th-January-2007, 11:10
