Are they around at the moment?
Are they coloured or transparent / white?

Not sure, common UK spiders, whatever they are.
Lots of long bits of spiders web around yesterday (UK)
Found out from the internet it was probably baby spiders 'ballooning', on gossamer, so I was wondering why I could only see the web & not the spiders - how tiny are they? Are they even visible to the naked eye?

anything from a few mm down to damn near invisible in some light. Get hold of a 10X hand lense and you may be able to see something at the end of the strands. It's getting late now in the year so not long to see this sort of stuff.
