Real Canadian Spider.

While I was on my holidays I went all the way to the top of Whistler mountain, near jasper.

I hasten to add that I did this on a cable car...as I was 2277 metres (7472 ft) above sea level!

When I got to the top I looked out over this:

When I turned around I found this little spider!

Apparently there is very little wildlife up there, everything grows really slowly because of the harsh conditions - 6ft trees can be hundreds of years old!

I have no idea what she was and she's mising a leg, but I guess she likes heights!

Edit: She was red by the way, redder than she looks in the snap.
